July 23, 2006 - I parked my car near the old Midland tunnels on Chaffee County Road 371 and scrambled down to the bank of the Arkansas River. I thought I would snap some photos of the river and maybe sit on a rock for some contemplation. |

And look! River rafters were coming down the river and I got this photo of them going past those intense rapids. |

Whitewater rafting and kayaking and definitely very popular activities in Buena Vista and Salida. |
