Let It Snow - Beautiful Snow!
Receiving snowfall in Colorado is not uncommon, and today we have received 2-3 inches of snow so far,
with more forecasted to come later today. This morning, I drove throughout
Buena Vista, Colorado and the surrounding area to capture some the pretty snow scenes by camera. Enjoy! |

Snow lightly covers Chaffee County Road 306. |

I passed the drive-in theater. If it were clear,
I would have had a wonderful view of Mount Princeton from this vantage point. |
 |
As I traveled closer to the foot of the
Sawatch Range (west of Buena Vista), the snow was thicker. Eventually
I turned back and love this shot of thick snow covering the road.

Love those ruts!
Friends, many of the ski and snowboarding areas are closed, but there are
still plenty of opportunities for snowshoeing and other snow-related activities.
Be careful and aware of avalanche conditions if you go way into the mountains. |

My motto: "When it snows in Colorado, all the people are happy!" :) |

I drove all over, trying to capture different shots of the snow. |

I stopped at the Loaf N Jug on Highway 24 for a coffee.
The girl behind the counter is always so friendly to me, but she wasn't as enthusiastic about the snow like I was. :p) |
