There are many decent locally-owned places to eat in Buena Vista, but one establishment particularly stands out.

Jan's Restaurant is located right on Highway 24 (south of the traffic light) and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They also have a bar in the back and many specials.

During my visit today, I ordered one hotcake (just $2.50) with one egg (easy over - my favorite style) on the side ... Just look at how big my hotcake was in the picture below! Folks, I want to assure you that one pancake is more than enough to fill the stomach of the average person. :)

While taking a few pictures with my friend Scott inside, the waitress took notice and I began telling her about this web site, ScenicBuenaVista.com. And before I knew it, Jan herself came out to say "hello" to both of us and she was really friendly. It was great to meet you, Jan! :)
