Just like my picture of the Buffalo Peaks,
this is one of those pictures that I feel like I had to show off.
From a friend's homestead a few miles south of Buena Vista, Colorado, I had this
beautiful view of Mt. Harvard. The summit is 14,420 feet about sea level
- the third tallest mountain among Colorado's 54 "fourteeners"
- that is, mountains reaching above 14,000+ feet in altitude.
I have hiked six 14ers in my life (Mt. Princeton, Democrat, Lincoln, Bross,
Sherman, Pikes Pk.) but in 2006, I am determined to conquer more of these mountains.
Mt. Yale is next on my list, but I just might get to Mt. Harvard before the summer is over. ;)
